    Dog perfume: its uses and benefits

    After a rainy walk in the woods, you may well have noticed this before: your dog has definitely smelled better. A special dog perfume or a pleasant deodorant gives your dog’s coat a fresh new scent. Even after a bath or regular grooming, a subtle spritz can add that certain something and round off the fresh scent of shampoo and conditioner.

    Dogs have a very sensitive nose, which is far more acute and perceives smells much more intensely than a human’s. Conventional perfumes or deodorants for humans are therefore unsuitable, as they smell far too strong. Specially developed perfumes for dogs, on the other hand, are tailored to the animal’s needs. They have only a light scent and can also nourish the coat with beneficial ingredients such as aloe vera.

    If your dog has sensitive skin or allergies, you should check the perfume’s ingredients carefully and choose a variant free from known allergens.

    You can choose your dog’s perfume from a wide range of different scents, such as jasmine, vanilla or ylang-ylang, as well as notes of fruit and berries. Whether floral, woody or fruity: with us, you can easily find the right scent for your four-legged friend.

    Tips for use: How to apply dog perfume correctly

    To ensure your dog finds their new scent pleasant, there are a few things to bear in mind when applying it:

    • Hold the spray bottle about 20 cm away from your pet.
    • Apply the dog perfume directly to the coat or a brush and spread it gently.
    • One spray is more than enough to create a subtle scent.
    • Never spray directly into your pet’s face. If it accidentally gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with cold water.
    • Never apply it to irritated skin or open wounds.
    • Bear in mind your dog’s sense of smell and let your dog get used to the new scent gradually.

    Always pay attention to how your dog reacts to the perfume and whether they like it and tolerate it.
