While the shampoo cleans thoroughly, conditioners and treatments reliably care for particularly long, dry or damaged coats.

    What are the benefits of conditioners for dogs and cats?

    When it’s time for a bath and you’ve already found the right shampoo for your pet, a nourishing conditioner is the ultimate choice. The conditioner ensures that the coat receives valuable nutrients and becomes supple and easy to comb. What’s more, a coat cared for in this way takes on a lovely shine. A conditioner is particularly useful for long-haired dogs and cats, or for pets with a thick undercoat. Coats that are particularly damaged can benefit from treatment with a conditioner. Just like shampoos, most conditioners and hair treatments are designed for specific purposes. For example, they can:

    • Prevent dryness and split ends
    • Reduce matting and detangle the fur
    • Give the coat a lovely shine and a supple texture
    • Strengthen the coat against external stresses
    • Nourish the coat
    • Make combing and brushing easier
    • Moisturise & care for sensitive skin

    • Reduce dandruff and soothe itching

    Whether for sensitive skin, long, curly fur or a thick undercoat: choose a dog or cat conditioner tailored to the needs of the specific coat. When choosing, look out for vitamin supplements, as well as ingredients such as aloe vera or panthenol, which gently nourish the skin and coat. There are also conditioners specifically designed for puppies’ coats.

    How do you use them?

    If you use conditioners and hair treatments yourself, you’ll already be familiar with the principle. The process isn’t really any different for dogs and cats:

    1. Apply the conditioner to the coat after rinsing out the shampoo and massage it in.
    2. Leave the product to work for the time stated on the packet.
    3. Rinse the conditioner out thoroughly.
