Accessibility Statement

Wagner eCommerce Group GmbH is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continuously improve usability for all and apply the relevant standards (WCAG 2.2, BITV and the EN 301 549 standard) for accessibility. This declaration on digital accessibility applies to the website of Wagner eCommerce Group GmbH published at https://www.petpoint-charly.com/.

This website, as an online shop, belongs to the so-called "services in electronic commerce" and is characterised by an electronic ordering and payment option. It is subject to special legal requirements regarding accessibility. In general, this website must provide functions and procedures that are geared towards the needs of people with disabilities and facilitate or enable usability through digital aids.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

The website is currently not fully compatible with the technical requirements in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0).

The following measures have been taken:

  • Browser-independent page output: content and functions of this website are available in identical layout, alignment and resolution regardless of the browser used.
  • Responsive design (adaptation to different screen sizes): The content, elements and functions automatically adapt their dimensions to the size of the screen being used.
  • Text hints if input fields are not filled in: If mandatory input fields are not completed, a text message is displayed in addition to a coloured highlight. This note clarifies which information is missing in the input field.

Non-accessible content

The following content is not accessible as it is not compatible with the underlying harmonised standard EN 301 549:

  • On individual pages, there are images without captions. Navigation with screen readers to the images is difficult. | WCAG: 1.1.1
  • On several pages there are links without link text. | WCAG: 4.1.2
  • On all pages the contrast between text and background is too low. | WCAG: 1.4.3
  • On individual pages there are 'iframe' elements without labelling. Navigation with screen readers to the iframes is difficult. | WCAG: 4.1.2
  • On several pages there are form fields without labelling. Navigation with screen readers to the form fields is difficult. | WCAG: 4.1.2
  • On several pages there are buttons without labelling. Navigation with screen readers to the buttons is more difficult. | WCAG: 4.1.2
  • On several pages there are invalid aria attribute values. These are not recognised by screen readers and are therefore not displayed correctly. | WCAG: 4.1.2
  • On individual pages, a parent element is missing the corresponding child elements. This can confuse screen reader users, as content is expected but none is present.| WCAG: 1.3.1
  • On a page, there are elements with the Aria-hidden attribute that can be focussed at the same time. As a result, these elements are accessible for assistive technologies even though they should be hidden.
  • On several pages, there are interactive elements whose name is not part of the labelling. This makes it difficult to control the website using voice control.| On several pages, lists are not labelled with the semantically correct HTML elements <ul> or <ol> in combination with <li>, but are implemented with elements such as <div>, <span> or other structurally unsuitable containers. As a result, the list structure is not recognised by screen readers, which makes navigation and orientation more difficult.| WCAG: 1.3.1
  • Keyboard operation is restricted in parts on various pages. This applies in particular to certain interactive elements such as filter functions, navigation elements or dynamic content that cannot always be accessed or operated using the keyboard.  | WCAG 2.1.1
  • PDF documents (e.g. operating instructions) do not currently meet the requirements for accessible documents.
  • Some emails sent automatically as part of the ordering process (e.g. order confirmation, shipping information, invoice) are currently not yet fully accessible. In some cases, semantic HTML structures or alternative texts for embedded graphics are missing, which limits accessibility for screen reader users.| WCAG  1.3.1, 1.1.1
