Canina Algae Lime - Natural source of calcium from seaweed

Canina Algae Lime is a high-quality straight feeding stuff made from the seaweed Lithothamnium calcareum (red algae), which provides dogs and cats with naturally bioavailable calcium. This plant-based source of calcium is an ideal alternative to meat and bone meal or eggshell powder - especially for animals that are sensitive to animal sources of calcium. Seaweed also provides important minerals such as magnesium and iodine, which support bone metabolism, muscle function and dental health. Thanks to its low phosphorus content, seaweed lime is particularly suitable for supplementing B.A.R.F. meals and ensures a balanced calcium-phosphorus ratio.

• Young dogs (7-12 months of age): 0.6 g/kg body weight
• Adult dogs: 0.3 g/kg body weight
• Pregnant/lactating bitches: 0.6-0.8 g/kg body weight

Cats

• Kittens (up to 6 months of age): 0.4 g/kg body weight
• Kittens (7-12 months of age): 0.3 g/kg body weight
• Adult cats: 0.2 g/kg body weight
• Pregnant/suckling cats: 0.3-0.5 g/kg body weight
